Foundation Diploma Art and Design Students from Wiltshire College worked with artist Henny Burnett to explore visual responses to the hidden mysteries and secrets found in the Cathedral’s archive. This video demonstrates a virtual environment created by the students based on the Cathedral Library.
An open group recruited from across Salisbury worked with Stephanie Jalland, Artistic Director of Hoodwink, to delve into the archives. Using theatre techniques they created archives of their own lives to add to the collection. They considered the meaning of an archive and decided what objects and memories they would like to leave behind for future visitors to share. You can see some of their artwork below.
